Distilled Water And Minerals

Are you wondering if distilled water depletes the minerals in your body? Is it safe? Here is what I found.

Drinking water is a great weight-loss strategy; it helps flush the body of toxins while filling you up, so you don't mindlessly munch.

Some people even find that cold water helps with sweet cravings, while hot water satisfies savory cravings (although the evidence is anecdotal).

Either way, water can't force minerals out of your body.

And while distillation removes water's slight mineral content, it's insignificant: Our main mineral source is food.

But while we're talking minerals, some (such as calcium, chromium, zinc and magnesium) can help speed slimming.

In fact, a new study reported that women who took a once-daily multivitamin with minerals as part of their weight-loss plan lost up to three-and-a-half times more weight.
